When the Native Americans invited Matt to go to the west he was surprised and proud of himself. He spent almost two weeks thinking what to do until the answer came to his mind: he decided to stay in Maine waiting for his family. So he prepared some gifts for the baby like a crib, also food for the family. 

    The Native Americans were proud of Matt because he was doing the things he had to do. When they started the journey to the west Matt was feeling very lonely and scared. He spent four months waiting when he realized that they were never coming back. Matt decided to go to Massachussets on his own so he prepared all his things and he went away.
