A different ending by Rosario U.
for The Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare

When Matt and Attean finished killing the bear, Attean asked Matt if he wanted to stay with him. Matt said that he wanted to see his family and the new baby one more time. When time passed Matt decided that his family would never be back again, so he left with Attean.

The tribe moved to the north of America. While they were traveling they heard from some villagers that a family in Maine had had a baby but the baby had died and the mother was so scared that she had abandoned her son Matt in the forest. Matt cried for a day but then he realized that his family was going to be okey.

When they arrived, Attean taught Matt how to build tents. Then both went to explore and they found a big river near the settlement. Attean and Matt were so happy together, they were brothers. One day Matt felt so important in the tribe that he threw Robinson Crusoe into the river.

Weeks later, Matt´s father was drinking in the river when he found Matt’s book that said, “I am okey. Matt.”
